How we started
Season Zero was born in 2023 as a thesis project during our founder’s MSc – an idea sparked by two friends who believed in a more circular, conscious way of living. What began as a collaboration quickly evolved into a growing movement embraced by our local community.
Powered by responsible consumption and production, our mission is simple: to inspire sustainable habits and give materials a meaningful second life. Everything we create is driven by respect for Mother Earth, guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and designed to empower people to live more autonomously and responsibly.
Why SDG 12 Matters to Us
Season Zero is grounded in SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, a global goal that focuses on ensuring the well-being of people while reducing the excessive strain on the planet’s natural resources. Today’s production and consumption patterns generate substantial waste and place enormous pressure on ecosystems. With the world population projected to reach 9.6 billion by 2050, humanity would require the resources of three planets to sustain current lifestyles.
SDG 12 calls for smarter use of resources, fair access to essentials like clean water, energy, and food, and a shift toward systems that minimize waste and regenerate the environment. These principles shape every decision we make – because building a sustainable future starts with rethinking what we consume, how we produce, and the value we give to the materials around us.
